  • Good replacement for HDMI cable that didn't work with new TV

Works as expected, no issues at all. However, the clearly Google translated directions could use some better translation.

  • Waste of Time. Does not Work!!
Style: 4k
I rarely write reviews unless it’s bad. Couple things to give 0-1 stars. No user manual to setup however in theory this should be straight forward. If you look at their diagrams they swap transmitter for receiver in both pictures so not much help there for reference. Nonetheless I tried the most logical setup first, transmitter at source unit (laptop, game unit, Apple TV etc) >>> hdmi in >>> cat 6 out then receiver unit at display TV connecting CAT 6 IN>>> hdmi out to TV. Doesn’t work. Tried multiple screen resolutions with my MacBook Pro, tried with an Apple TV, tried with an Xbox. Nada. Then I went back to the useless diagrams on amazon and saw one picture with the receiver box at the source unit for whatever reason and the transmitter box at the display unit. Tried the swapped approach with no success. Then I thought hey maybe it’s mislabeled so I literally tried every combination of wiring and configuration you can do and came to the conclusion that the boxes just don’t work. Returning for return asap! Lesson learned on buying a product with small amount of reviews !!!!! ... show more

  • Works as it should
Style: 1080p
Upon initial inspection, I noticed the power adapters seemed ultra cheap. I could feel the components jostling around inside one of the power adapters. The included power adapters feature a 29" cord length. I also noticed the transmitter does NOT have a loop out as advertised in some of the pictures. The transmitter features an HDMI input port, a 5V DC power port, and a red status LED on one side. On the other side, the transmitter features an ethernet port and EDID button. The receiver features an HDMI output port, a 5V DC power port, and a red status LED on one side. On the other side, the receiver features an ethernet port and EDID button. I tested the extender set at different lengths of ethernet wire. See the test results below. During these tests, I noticed the red status LED does not change colors or blink with or without video signal or transmitter/receiver link. The red LED is always on if the device is powered. at 100' the extender set worked perfectly. at 160' the extender set worked perfectly. at 170' the extender set worked perfectly. at 180' the extender set worked perfectly. at 190' the extender set worked perfectly. at 200' the extender set worked with minimally noticeable video loss. at 210' the extender set worked with noticeable video loss. at 260' the extender set hardly worked with extreme video loss which resulted in a very grainy fuzzy image. at 300' the extender set did not work at all. For many applications where a loop-out display is not needed, this extender set would work just fine. The power adapters probably won't last long but those would be easy enough to replace. ... show more

  • Works well and is less expensive than SDI
Style: 1080p
I chose this unit as an alternative to SDI delivery of HDMI signals. This unit delivers as advertised. I was pleased with the cost and the quality. I would recommend this for HD delivery at a lower cost.

  • Just the ticket for those long HDMI runs!
Style: 1080p
As a semi-pro DJ, I just signed a new contract to do multiple shows at a seasonal resort here in SE Michigan. And since nowadays, everything is digital, it opens up lots of possibilities for not only the use of music video, but also computer generated light show displays. And the resort that I will be performing at has a projector and screen assembly that will be available for use during my shows. The big question is, how do I get the video signal from my external monitor port to that projector? And the answer to that big question is: Use an ATXOM HDMI Over Ethernet Extender! And from the minute I opened the package, I was thoroughly impressed. These adapters are built to get the job done, no cheapie plastic casings here! According to the manufacturer, using an ordinary CAT 5e, CAT 6, or CAT 7 ethernet cable, the ATXOM HDMI Over Ethernet Extender can transmit full 1080p HD quality video at distances up to 200ft. Which is more than adequate for my needs. I suspect that I won't ever need to run my video cabling much more than 25-35 ft at most. The set comes with both a transmitter and receiver, with 2 power supply units. Depending upon the distance, you may or may not need to use the 2 power supply on the receiver, since these devices also use POE for shorter runs. They also support EID functionality, to help with automatic resolution adjustments, and to assist with selecting the optinal A/V settings. The receiver also includes a secondary HDMI output for additional displays. And the best part is that the ATXOM HDMI Over Ethernet Extender is plug and play compatible with all sorts of media devices, including gaming consoles, video streaming devices, computers, home media players, and even selected mobile devices. So if you need to send your HDMI video over a significant distance, and want a simple and effective way to accomplish that task, be sure to check out the ATXOM HDMI Over Ethernet Extender. ... show more
