    • Affordable Way to Liven Up My Ugly Window Wells

Points: + Affordable 2 pack +/- Right out of the box they do have a strong plastic odor that dissipates overtime +/-Much darker than eucalyptus I’ve seen -Shape of the leaves are somewhat inaccurate to real eucalyptus +/-Lacks detail up close, but overall good enough as outdoor decoration Summary: I love plants and have been wanting to dress up our boring drab basement window wells. The Palonu artificial hanging eucalyptus plants do fit this need quite well for me. However, if you’re familiar with the real plant I’d say these do lack those subtle details that up close reveal they’re fake. At a distance of about 4+ feet or through our basement windows they look close enough to the real plant. Up close the leaves lack any leaf vein details. The color is much darker than any eucalyptus I’ve ever seen. The leaf shapes themselves are a little off too, being too rounded and resembling a widened teardrop like shape. All these things together would be upsetting if you’re dead set on realistic looking artificial eucalyptus. For my purposes and at this price point, I found they work great. I don’t think you’ll find an affordable two pack that is realistic looking anywhere to be honest. Your needs may vary from mine as I’d merely be happy with any artificial green plant for my window wells, realistic or not. In short if you simply want an affordable way to spruce up your décor these work great. If you want more accurate subtle details you may be unhappy with these. I love the look of a cozy space with lots of greenery and plants. Unfortunately, I cannot keep plants alive. I also have two pets, and many of the plants I love are toxic to them - like Eucalyptus! So these fake plants are perfect to add a nice touch to my apartment, without worrying about them dying or hurting my furry family members. They look nice and not overly fake (although plant enthusiasts would probably notice right away) The leaves feel thick. These plants will last forever, and I am not worried about them falling apart. It comes with two plants that come in a pot, so you do not have to purchase another pot or foam for them. They pot they come in is small, so it is easy to place them in a more stylish pot if you prefer (like in the second photo). ... show more

Initially, I became very skeptical when I received this item because it arrived in such small packaging. After unboxing and removing the plastic securing the item, you will need to unravel the intertwined vines, but it is not very difficult, as long as you do so slowly to avoid tangling them more or damaging the item. Once I had the individual vines separated, it was very aesthetically pleasing. I'm using these to replace live plants from a pair of hanging planters. The leaves have a bit of translucency, so when there is a light source behind them, some appear lighter and some appear darker than others, adding to the realism. I also like that the varying vibe lengths which make them appear more authentic. While I still have live plants, I use these in low light areas where live plants wouldn't necessarily thrive. While I still prefer live plants, this is a wonderful option in certain situations. ... show more

These items are just ok. They are very fake looking plants as far as both the color and texture. They are more something that you would put high up or far away and people would know they are not real.

These artificial vines come well packaged and there are two "plants" in the box. Once you take off the plastic wrap, you'll see that the vines are permanently attached to the pots they come in. The pots are black plastic so you will probably want to put them into something else. They were a bit compacted after I took them out of the packaging but if you spend a few minutes bending the stems and leaves they look pretty nice. From a distance it would be difficult for most people to tell that they aren't real. Once you get close, it becomes fairly obvious but that's the case with most artificial plants. There was a smell from these but it dissipated after a few days. The smell was not unpleasant, though. These plastic potted vines were just the thing I needed to complete my bathroom vibe. After you spruce up the vines from its constricted packaging, they really do give off the desired vine look albeit from a select distance. Do note to be gentle when spreading out the vines because the leaves can fall off, but if that does happen then "snapping" them back onto the vine is relatively easy. I got these to put in the corner of my living room on a book shelf. They're not big, but they do descend about a foot / foot and a half from the little pot. So they fit nicely on a shelf with books on it. The leaves are glossy plastic. Up close, they're clearly not real, but in the corner of a room? Perfection. They look great. ... show more
