I have been an Otterbox customer through 5 different phones, and decided to give another manufacturer a chance. I am so glad that I did!!! I wanted to see what was available on the market that had just as many features (or more), just as much durability as well, but perhaps had a better price. And... It had to have a strong USA company affiliation. I found what I was looking for, and at a great price point. Color selection was great too! This is what I like: *Great "look" that is sleek, but strong *Left and Right edges are nicely textured to give you a good grip without being clunky or industrial *Kickstand if readily available if needed, holds the phone at just the right angle where you stand it upright on landscape *Add no weight to the phone *Easy to install your phone... i was up and running in 2 minutes *Case cradles the phone so that you can place it face down as well and it keeps the face of the phone away from the surface you place it on *Kick stand is perfectly placed so that you can use it as a finger loop to hold the phone securely. This is worth a "5" in and of itself! *Color selection is great... more options available than most other manufacturers *Easy, clean access to charger port and S-pen. The charger dust cover is "stiff", but substantial. A bit of a two-handed approach is needed at first to old it open while plugging in the charger cord. Alternatively, the wireless charging works great with this case as there is nothing magnetized in the case to get in the way. S-Pen is easy to get to and re-insert when finished with its use. *3rd party screen film works well with this case. I ordered this product (cell phone case) for my Samsung Note 10-plus. It came packaged professionally. There was a small brief instructional color brochure in the package that simple, clear, and easy to follow. It's a 2-piece style case. I ordered it in black. It feels of good quality. Stiff & rubbery at the same time. It wasn't hard to put on, and fits snugly. In fact, the fit quality is excellent. The backside of the case seems to be a hard plastic, while the sides are rubbery. And, the sides have some sort of "ribs" on them that aid in gripping the phone. Also, it seems like the corners have what I describe as a very slight bulge. I'm guessing for drop protection. Oh, and the front piece of the case has on the top & bottom, a slight "lip" that would keep the face of your phone from directly touch a surface if you lay it face down. All in all, the case is nicely designed. It feels like general protection would be more than adequate. I'm unwilling to test drop protection though, but I feel like if it slipped out my hand, or pocket, there would be no problem. I haven't used a case like this in a long time. I've always used those "slim fit" style cases to reduce bulk. This case seems more protective than my usual style, yet adds very little more bulk. On the other hand, I don't wear tight pants either. Oh, and I nearly forgot. A simple pop-out kickstand. I should mention that it only stands the phone in the vertical position, not horizontal. Highly recommended.     • Case is Excellent; Bought for the Kickstand as Alternative to Samsung Rugged
Case kickstand has a satisfying "click" design and has to be "popped" away from the back. The chances of it snapping off seem minimal. The kickstand is a 2 piece design, with a skinnier piece that slides along the rail. I tested this with the Note10+ and it will stand the phone up confidently. I was looking for a Samsung "Rugged" alternative. This one at $15 is a steal. Like many other hard plastic shell + TPU cases, this has a similar feel. The insert operates differently than I'm used too, a top plate of plastic sit on the cell phone and then fits securely and snug in the body. Definitely works well. I did not do wireless charging tests. Pulling the pen is as well as it could be expected given the case is rugged. I am able to depress the pen to release it and pull it with one hand, but I have a large index and I have to turn my finger sideways. Case protected my from some drops already and with the amount of 40-60 cases I've used on phones, I'm happy to say the ArmidilloTek case is giving me that Otterbox "Commuter" feel + the importance of a kickstand. Had to leave a review, the price to performance and quality feel here is on point. As an owner of a previous phone with power plug/USB cover flap, I MUST RECOMMEND that you DO NOT USE the flap. The additional pressure from the rubber causes contact failure internally on cords because of the force against the head of the cable and the wiring. ALL RUBBER FLAP DESIGNS DO THIS. MOREOVER - force against cable heads causes pressure on the USBC port and damage to this port will ruin the phone as connections to this port will not sit tight or secure properly which causes poor performance with head phones and battery power cycling when charging (ends batteries early). Just cut the flap off with a xacto knife or something. And ArmadilloTek - Don't be fooled by other case manufacturers that offer this "feature" unless it's of a soft material. ... show more
