I have played Pac-Man since I was little in the 1980’s and have always dreamed of having one of these arcade machines, but they were always just too expensive. When I saw this, I just knew I had to have it. It came very quickly and was delivered right to my door. Assembling it was very easy and the instructions were easy to follow. It took me about an hour to put it all together by myself. It also came with a clear protector for the dash since after some use, I know the images would wear away. The joy stick quality is really good and feels a lot like the original back in the day. The only complaint I have is the volume. The settings are off, loud, and very loud. I wish the volume could be on but very dim. I may try using tape over the speaker area to mute it. ... show more

    • This Pac Man Machine is everything I dreamed it would be for under $400.
The Amazon review were very low compared to other retailers. After spending time watching YouTube videos and reading review I came to the conclusion 1up had software problems when they originally released their units. I absolutely love my units. I have two and a third on the way. I love playing Pac Man with my five year old son. I love playing by myself. Both of my machines have the height extender. I wish it was even taller. You need some sort of stool due to the height of the machine. I’m conclusion, this machine has been an excellent addition to my basement.     • Pac Man machine issues
I purchased this machine as a gift. When it arrived we assembled it and noticed the joystick controller wasn't working properly. I contacted the seller and was instructed to go through Amazon. Amazon exchanged the unit for a new one with in a few days. After assembling another arcade machine we found a another issue. The game turned on and worked perfectly for 1 game. After that the machine would not turn on again. I finally just contacted amazon to pick this game up and refund the money. ... show more

Really cool product. A little pricey since you have to get the riser, unless you want to sit down on the ground while your play it. Side panel arrived with damage as shown in the photos. Return policy says customer must pay for all shipping costs which would be a lot since it’s so large. Customer service through email could be better. It took me about 2 hours to unbox and build everything, way more than “20 minutes”. Also, within 18 hours of building it and about 1 hour of gameplay, the joystick will not allow downward movement of Pac-Man about 80-90% of the time. Super disappointed. After a day or so the joystick started working again. I also followed the protocol with customer service and they sent me a new joystick. Over all, super cool, lots of fun, and you need the riser unless it’s for preteens and smaller kids. ... show more

This is excellent. There's no two ways about it. The custom riser included is particularly a nice accessory. If you liked this classic game in your youth like I did and still like it today, you wouldn't know what you're missing not owning one of these.

    • Great arcade experience at an affordable price.
Arrived quickly and in great shape. Assembly was easy and despite my reservations about the quality of the 1up cabinets, I'm happy with the look and feel. The controls feel good and responsive. I wish that it also came with Ms Pacman as one of the games, but I knew what I was getting when I bought it. This came with the riser and frankly it's required if you want the full standing arcade experience. I knew it was short, but it was much shorter than I was really expecting. The riser brings it up to a useful height. I will be continuing to buy more cabinets from 1up. Update (11/11/2019): A little over two weeks after I received and assembled the Pac-Man machine, the joystick stopped registering the up direction about 60% of the time. We have only played with the machine maybe two dozen times at most and there are no children using the arcade. I contacted 1up support, opening up a ticket to get the joystick replaced and they said they would order a replacement and email me the tracking information when it ships. It's been over a week since then and I have not yet received the tracking information or any confirmation at all that a replacement has shipped. I have bumped down the rating from 5-stars to 3-stars as a result. I may change the rating back to 4-stars depending on how fast the joystick replacement arrives. I may just end up replacing the joystick myself with a Sanwa stick if it takes too long. ... show more

When I started the game I had to turn the power switch on a few times before it would turn on. I called the customer support number and it is only a recording telling you to go on line. I went on line and it has you input the serial number but there is no serial number on the game and it won't let you move forward without it. There is no one to contact to resolve the issue. ... show more

Highly recommend this game. Yes, it takes about 2 hours to put together if you take your time. Instructions are pretty easy to follow and every piece and bags with screws and dowels are marked. Great addition to the game room and daughter loves it! The red knob kept coming unscrewed but I just put some thread lock on it and no more issues.
