  • You MUST use loctite
Color: Black Size: YZF R1 2004-2006
You absolutely must use loctite. Do not even try to simply tighten it hard enough, you will strip something before it does not vibrate loose. I use orange loctite to be extra safe, while still letting me unscrew things without heat later. If you do not heed this warning, you WILL lose parts on the road. Go over it with a magnifying glass and make sure you are not missing anything. Check the spring attached to the brake lever, theres two tiny screws behind it you might miss. Stuff like this. If you do this, this is a great set. I love my set. That being said, I do wish that it had a higher range of adjustability, and started with stock settings being the lowest and closest. The lowest and closest setting is something like maybe an inch higher and further back. It doesn't sound like that big of a difference, but if you have been riding with proper foot posture already with stock and are a taller guy, it can be surprising and you might find it cramped or feeling tempted to ride with improper technique to make up for it. That was my initial impression, to be honest. Im getting used to it however, and I see big benefits too, such as improving my relationship with the clip ons and handling. I have been considering coming up with a bracket adapter of some sort to let me get just a tiny bit forward and down, if I can swing it, and it not be noticeable aesthetically. Either this, or finding down the road a replacement first bracket that connects to the frame that I can use with the rest of the kit. Time will tell how I feel and what I do. It's not terrible, it's really fine, it's just different and I was not expecting it. I thought for an adjustable kit, it would have a wider range of adjustments, even if you started with stock settings on the lowest end. The one thing that did not fit properly on my 04-06 YZF R1 was the brake light switch holder. I simply used the stock one and bent it to work. Also a final tip... place the loop on the brake master cylinder BETWEEN the spring and the front nut holding the shaft for the brake loop. Don't put it behind the little clip at the very end and the spring. It knocked that little clip at the end right off, first ride. If you put it between the spring and the nut, you don't even need the little clip in the first place, the spring will hold it there in place under tension. All in all just be slow and careful installing, loc-tite everything. And just know that you are going to be moving up and back whether you like it or not. ... show more

  • Decent rearsets
Color: Gold Size: YZF R1 R1M R1S RN32 2015-2022
I wanted gold rearsets for my R1 and it was either these or $600 for some Satos. These look to be the same as the Hot Bodies MGPs sold by Revzilla, Cycle Gear, STG, etc. that are more than twice the price. The only difference is the branding on the heal guard. So as much as I didn't want to buy Chinese rearsets I rolled the dice that these may be acceptable since the big bike retailers essentially sell these rebranded. They're not Woodcrafts or Vortex or any of the other expensive rearsets but the quality I think is decent and the gold adds the bling look I wanted. So on to the bad: -There's no installation instructions but the sets come somewhat preassembled and I used a diagram from Hot Bodies for reference. You can pretty much figure everything else out. -The brake return clock spring sucks but I was able to jerry rig the OEM return spring on also, so the rear brake works much better. -I had to shorten and really mess around with the brake switch spring to make it work. -The bracket the springs attach to is very flimsy but I zip tied it down to add some sturdiness, otherwise it won't work it will bend. I may replace this with a sturdier bracket in the future. You definitely get what you pay for but for less than $150 and a little bit of work and creativity, I'm happy with the end result. I had a hard time shifting with the OEMs but the adjustability of these eliminated that now. Street use these have been fine. Time will tell next season how these hold up at the track. ... show more

  • Great for the price
Color: Gold Size: YZF R6 2003-2005
The bad: Everything about the brake switch is garbage. The main mounting bolts are steel. Replace them if you actually ride. They will rust. The bolts that hold the master cylinder bracket that include threaded holes to mount the heel guards are junk and will inhibit lever movement if you're tall. Throw them out and drill the heel guard holes larger and use a regular bolt all the way thru. Also, before you drill, you can swap the heel guards if you don't want to show off 'Arashi.' The good: Quality anodizing Very well packaged, I felt like I was opening something from Apple. Great adjustability, I gained 2 inches of leg room. Machining is excellent, these people have real quality control. Foot pegs have a breakaway groove so if you lay it down the end will snap off instead of destroying the whole thing, allowing you to hopefully ride home still. That feature is actually the only reason I kept them and did all the other modifications. They may be inexpensive but they know what they're doing. Lastly, for all the reviews complaining about directions, if you can't install these with a picture you shouldn't be wrenching on your motorcycle. Rearsets are kinda important to staying alive on a motorcycle. ... show more

  • Look great, Feel great, nice features!
Color: Gray Size: MT09 FZ09 14-20 (QS) / FJ09 14-20 / XSR90...
Perfect fit on a 2018 MT09. The stock pegs had "feelers" on them - which were constantly dragging at track days. Removed the "feelers", but then the pegs were still dragging, and boots getting worn down. These rear-sets move the pegs up a bit, and that should give me the clearance I need. Nice bonus: you can now fit the linkage on the right side of the shifter shaft - so you can run GP-Shift, as seen in the picture. The rear-sets do come with the linkage for Quick-Shift, which I hope to also install someday - but the Quick Shifter is out of stock everywhere! Note: with the pegs being higher, the passenger pegs are in the way when you "ride on your toes". So, I removed the passenger pegs, and the bike feels great! I was a little concerned I would not feel as comfortable as stock pegs - with these new higher pegs. But, I actually feel MORE comfortable - maybe because now you ride in a more proper position for trackdays. ... show more
