Description

Amphie world is one of our largest systems and enables many children to play together. By turning the paddle wheel the water moves the vehicles through the canals, a perfect journey when you want to visit all the fun play stations! the transport boat can be docked to the ramp in the Marina while the container boat is passing through the lock. This is easily regulated by using the pump and opening the lock gates. In the big harbour the crane can assist you to load the container on the amphibian truck. Let the truck continue down into the set by using the bridge system or slide into the water where it functions like a boat. The navigation in the canals is of course handled by the highly capable puppets, the bear bo, Wilma the hippo, lotta the duck and nils the frog. This set has an additional feature; it is partly a portable canal system. You can easily detach two of the box halves and fold them together like a suitcase. This allows children both to have fun in the garden as well as bringing it along to friends or on vacation. Amphie world is a playful way of educating how the water moves, lifts and climbs!

  • Super Fun and Unique Water Play!!! Huge and Excellent Quality. Worth the Price
This set is large and made of very high quality and sturdy plastics. It is on the expensive side but for the huge size and uniqueness, it's worth it. It's impressively sturdy and a lot of fun!!! Make sure you have the space to set it up. I docked one star because one thing I really disliked are the rubbery foam gaskets strips. Instead of coming pre-installed, they come in sheets and must be applied to each piece of the water canal at the connection points. This is what keeps the whole thing water tight when assembled. IMPORTANT: DO NOT (I repeat) DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN DO THIS PART OR HELP YOU DO THIS PART. I made sure to take my time to apply the sticker gaskets straight, and press down to get a good seal. It takes a lot of time. It took me a long time since I got two sets. With this part done properly, we don't have any issues with leaking. The gaskets are long lasting and durable. We've had our sets for over a year and played with them a few times, assembling and unassembling. This will last many years. Keep the box. After rinse off and dry, we take it apart to store inside the original box. ... show more

  • Does not stay together!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I bought a small, one piece Aqua Play water canal for my 3 year old son last year. He loved it! He played with it all of the time! So this year i splurged and purchased a $100 unit for his birthday. The pieces of the canal do not stay together so the water leaks out. I even tried Gorilla Glue to glue them together. They still came apart. I do not recommend the larger units with more than one piece!!! ... show more

  • Set Up Is Brutal
I have a love hate relationship with this thing. Once it’s set up it’s super cool and elaborate. There is no a way a kid is getting board with this toy in ten minutes. That being said, the initial set up was brutal. They did not make it any easier for you and you have to put together a million little gasket things to hold the pieces together and keep it water proof. The pieces do not snap into the connectors easily so it’s not a set you are going to set up and take down on a whim. I was surprised how well it actually held water considering all the connection points. I only had two small leaks. I would recommend but please set aside some time to put this together the first time. ... show more

  • Amazing Water Science Toy
This is a fun toy that allows children to learn science water concepts while having a ton of fun. This toy is made from strong plastic and has many toy boats, people and vehicles to use and play with the overall set. Assembly: This is a bit long - you must attach rubber strips to the connector pieces so that the water does not leak when the toy is filled. Note: I don't recommend this for indoor use because it can leak if a child pull apart two sections. Use: kids love playing with this, with endless possibilities of construction - this is fun to build and kids can play for an hour of fun. The set includes locks, water elevators, and other methods that ships actually use to traverse canals. This teaches physics concepts at a very intuitive hands-on way and is great. Overall, a fantastic set. ... show more

  • Fantastic Sensory Play for Outdoors; Lengthy Assembly Time
This Water Playset is a must-have for outdoor sensory play for younger children. It is portable and interactive, with several locations to play with the water in science-like ways. There are pieces to block the water within an area, a piece to pump water to adjust the levels in an area, bridges, lifts and cranes. The waterways are spacious and this entire set takes up quite a bit of space. The set arrives with two boats, one boat-car (with wheels) and four characters. The size of the pieces are big enough that they can be held easily by preschool-aged hands. I had all three of my children play with this; my eight-year-old was excited to explore all the parts but lost interest after ten minutes. The toy held my six-year old's interest for much longer, lasting about 30 minutes. However, my three-year-old was fascinated by this toy and played with it well over an hour. She looks forward to going outside and playing with this toy every morning and it has become part of our routine. If you are looking for a way to encourage your younger children to play outside and explore with their hands, this toy is a perfect way to maintain their attention and encourage tactile play and creative thinking. The assembly takes quite a while. It took me one hour from unboxing to having the set completely built. One of the most time-consuming parts of the assembly is correctly sticking the rubber strips on the red connectors (as pictured). There are twelve connecting pieces and two rubber strips per piece to stick on. Once you get the hang of snapping the blue pieces into the connecting pieces, assembly is straightforward. Fortunately, the rubber pieces do not have to be reapplied and disassembly and reassembly is straightforward. I would suggest keeping a copy of the manual for future reference. The manual provided does not give step by step instructions for anything except the red connecting pieces, the "AmphieTruck" and the containers. You will have to follow the picture on the front of the manual for guidance on assembly. However, this is fairly straightforward and the pieces are easily disassembled in the event that you have incorrectly assembled. This toy is very durable; the plastic used is thick and the rubber strips in the connector pieces effectively prevents water leakage. I kept our playset filled with water overnight and there were no leaks in the morning. This playset is very fun and interactive and reminds me of the water play at our local Children's Museum. It is a fantastic toy, especially for the summer when used outdoors, but also can be used indoors as it does not leak water. Younger children will love exploring this toy and there are other compatible sets you can purchase separately to add to your Water World Playset. I would definitely recommend this. ... show more
