I used to put my headphones on the bookcase behind my chair, and with them sharing space with the books, they had a precarious perch which resulted in them falling onto the floor fairly regularly. I clamped this hanger to the bookcase, and now they are hanging within easy reach with no risk of damage from falling. The hook folding up out of the way is a nice feature. The hanger is made of sturdy 3/8" steel which probably could hold something a lot heavier than the headphones if what you have it clamped to is up to the task. ... show more

It was very easy to hook to my desk, it is very well made, and this has been in use over a couple years now. I got a new headset recently for my gaming PC and noticed that lying the headphones on top of my case or on top of the desk was just not going to work. So I found this thing and am glad I did. I have a tempered glass desk that is about 1/4 inch thick. This tightens down onto the desk with no problems and does not scratch the glass. It has nice soft pads on it to prevent any damage to your desk, whether it be wood, glass, or metal. It can fit desks from 5mm to 45mm thick. (In case you're wondering, 45mm is 1.77 inches). It can also safely hold up to 5 lbs. This thing is well built. The vice part of it is made of solid steel and the body of it is made of hard powder coated aluminum. It feels really well built and exceeded all my expectations. It's not going to break on you. The advertisement says "installs in minutes." I found this to be incorrect. It actually installs in SECONDS. You literally put it on the desk, then screw the clamp until it stops. I would say 15 seconds max. I put this thing on the very end of my desk and now my headphones hang there totally out of the way and look much better than just lying them on top of my PC case. Picked this up a couple years ago. Worked perfectly, no complaints. Recently i noticed however that the glue used to hold the rubber pad in place started to (what i can only describe as) melt and leave sticky spots on my headphones. Still though, got three solid years of use out of it.

An ingenious little contraption, which is very well-made. It can accept any size headset with, or without a band. With smaller headsets, it could easily hold two of them. Folds up super easily when not in use. Looks great, and is very well finished. Has a very good clamp, which holds exceptionally sturdy and stable. It is also extremely compact, and while doing its job takes minimal space open, and even less space when folded up. I bought this (and also the ‘screw-to-wall’ version of it) to support a heavy and favorite pair of ‘orthodynamic’ headphones from Audeze, and was surprised by this holder’s small size. However, it feels heavy and solid, is well-finished and looks well made. The threaded bolt that one turns to achieve a tight fit to the edge of a table, desk or shelf wobbles just slightly inside its fixing. This is my one criticism. Nevertheless, it achieves a solid attachment to whatever one fixes it to and so is fit for purpose. I tested its grip - the headphones in question are no longer made and I don’t want to lose them to a drop! - and found I couldn’t budge this fitting from the shelf I attached it to. Also well done is the subtly curved rubber pad that contacts the headphones. It looks good, its small size letting it get out of the way visually. I highly recommend this product. ... show more
