As others reviwers have mentioned, this charger feels very warm to the touch when in use, especially if using the phone at the same time. In my opinion, it doesn’t feel hot enough to cause an unwanted fire under normal use away from low flash point substances That said, it attaches easily magnetically, stays attached with some bumping, and charges quickly with my wall charge adapter. I like that I can charge the phone face down, and that seems to make it a bit cooler to touch. I like the charcoal grey colour, and it may seem thicker than some other chargers, but that more likely due to the dome shape. I like the dome shape because it’s easier to know which way it goes on the phone when I’m fumbling in the dark to charge it at my bedside. In the past, I have had great luck with the quality, performance and endurance of Anker products. The quality of this magnetic wireless charger seems no different, so value for money seems fair here. ***UPDATE***: the charger still gets hot but I’ve got to give it to Anker’s customer service. I’m so impressed and appreciative at how quickly they responded to my review and how quickly they remedied my grievance. I really do appreciate them reaching out. I’ve always chosen the Anker brand for my electronic accessories and will continue to purchase from Anker. Quality is still great and always does its job. Even if it gets a little toasty. 😂 Charges fine but the charger itself gets really hot. Not sure if it’s supposed to do that.. but I can’t buy a new one right now. It works tho. ... show more

This product feels solidly built and works for its overall function of charging my iPhone. As other reviewers have noted, after some time the unit does begin to get warm/hot to the touch. I use a MagSafe case with my iPhone so there is not direct contact. Charging time is good - not super fast but quicker than weaker chargers. It's a good alternative to Apples charger. I have another 3rd party charger that I've used for a little bit so I have others to compare this to and at first I thought this thing got really hot. I switched the power adapters and then this one didn't get as hot. So if you're having problems with this getting scorching hot use something that won't give it the full 15w of power. Sure, the phone won't charge as fast but if you're charging it at night or in bed, it really won't matter and you're charger won't feel like it's going to burn your hands. ... show more

I’m biased towards Anker products as they consistently perform, and form, fit and function are generally excellent. This Qi2 charger is no exception. It works perfectly with all my Apple MagSafe devices and well as AirPods. The MagSafe feature connects to any device I’ve tried, both with and without a case. I loke the freestanding feature which allows using charged device while charging but remains stable while on a surface. Qi2 charging seems fast and efficient too, much better than Qi chargers I’ve tried previously. Only real concern (not a complaint) is how warm charger gets during charging. Recommended ... show more
