Label says leak resistant. Small print on inside label says not leak proof. So no a standard casserole would not leak but anything with sauce or gravy certainly will. Testing it tried with water and it freely leaked out.. certainly wish someone would make a casserole or baking dish that was totally leak proof. ... show more

It seems to be very well made and a great value, I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH CLEANING IT,The cover work very well and I have never seen a dish that would vent steam before. the only thing that I question is inability to add liquid to pan when it is hot and not being able to take it from fridg, to hot oven.
