I sought out a heavyweight flannel shirt and came across this one. The fabric and overall feel of the shirt are pleasing, although I would have preferred a slightly thicker material. Nevertheless, this is not your typical thin, cheap flannel; the product exudes sturdiness and comfort. The buttons are notably thick and robust, contributing to an overall sense of quality, making the shirt feel more upscale. Straight out of the box, I'm impressed with the fit of the medium size – it sits well on my frame (I'm 5'7" and 175 lbs). The cut is just right, and I appreciate the initial comfort. However, I do have some concerns about potential shrinkage after washing. Only time will reveal the true impact on the shirt's size and fit. Despite my reservations about washing, I'm contemplating purchasing a second shirt. I'm considering sizing up to a large this time, but I'll make that decision post-wash. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product and look forward to seeing how it holds up after laundering. ... show more

The arms and shirt tail are shorter than typical on an XL size… but the chest fits about right. I definitely should have ordered a size or two larger just to have the sleeves the right length. Also…the fabric is a bit cheap. It’s woven thread but also fuzzy on the surface — feels like a felt or fleece texture on top, because the threads it’s woven from are cheap, the fibers break, and produce fuzz. It’s the type of fabric that will begin to form “pills” after a washing or two, as the fibers break / abrade, fuzz and get rolled into those little “pill” balls with any amount of friction against other material from daily movement, washing, etc. ... show more
