  • solid quality, spare parts
I got one of those little portable rechargeable airbrushes a while ago, and the airbrush itself was broken out of the box. It just felt like cheap junk. I still wanted to test the portable compressor, so I grabbed this airbrush to use with it. Right out of the box, this just feels solid. It was a lot heavier than I expected, especially compared to the previous one I tried. It has a nice balance when I'm using it, I never feel like my hand is getting fatigued. The trigger has good control with the right amount of resistance to spray how I want to spray. I think that fact that I'm using it with a cheap rechargeable compressor, and that I'm able to use it at all with this, says a lot about this brush. I'm getting a nice flow and consistent spray, and I imagine it would be even better with a real compressor. Clean up seemed easy enough. I did need to cover the needle cap with a paper towel and not just my fingertip to get some backflow due to the design. There is a different cap included, but it doesn't look like it would work any different. There are a lot of spare parts in the box, plus different size needles which is a nice bonus at this price. If you've ever used a more expensive airbrush, this probably won't compare to those. But if you're a total beginner like me, this is definitely a good entry level value too try it out without spending too much money. ... show more

  • Pretty decent and comprehensive airbrush kit.
I wanted to get an airbrush kit that could be just for use while working with the kids on their models, something that I could teach them with and then let them use on their own. What I really like about this is that it's a pretty comprehensive kit. You get different sized cups, two different sized needles, plus extra parts. It also includes a pretty nice diagram showing the break down of the unit which is great for the kids to be able to see how everything goes together. One of the only complaints I have is the the fitment of the cap on the smallest sized cup. Something must be a little off with with either that cup or cap because it wasn't fully seated right out of the box and it was extremely tight. At first I didn't think I was going to be able to get it apart but I eventually did, but it's still very tight. Overall I'm pretty happy with this. This isn't a top of the line airbrush but that's not what I was looking for with this kit. It works good for our purposes and the kids love being able to paint their own models. ... show more

  • A great beginner's brush that won't break the bank...
What I've come to learn about this new hobby, is that the quality of the paint comes above the quality of the gun. For example, if you have the worst paint but the best gun, it's still going to spray like crap if at all, and won't look right. However, if you have the best paint and even the worst gun, chances are high you will get it to spray. Will some parts be harder? Probably, but it'll look good and spray. So with this gun, is it a $400 pro level? Nope. But I will say if you use great paint, this gun will do absolutely wonderful with some patience and dialing it in. This is a great starter kit as well with multiple paint cans, cleaning needles, etc. For good paint, look up Lime Line on Amazon here. Their paint flows flawlessly through this gun and I'm glad I went with this affordable gun vs going right to the top. I don't know that I'll have to ever move up with the projects I paint. ... show more

  • One of the best equipped entry-to-mid level brush kits I've found
I haven't had an opportunity for a full project with this brush... only a few test sprays, but you would be hard pressed to find another brush kit as well appointed and flexible as this one for the price. The brush itself is very well made with a smooth trigger action and nice tight tolerances on all parts. It's nicely packaged in a heavy-duty cardboard box with a foam insert slotted for every piece. I personally prefer a solid cardboard storage box over some of the other manufacturers plastic cases that end up covered in duct tape when the hinges crack off after being opened 2 or 3 times. The primary attraction for me was the inclusion of a wide variety of reservoir cup sizes. There's a size here to accommodate everything from small detail jobs to laying down base coats on really big pieces. It's also really nice to see the inclusion of 2 needle options (.3 or .5), including an alternate needle cap pattern. They even threw in spare o-rings... something that almost always gets overlooked. This will certainly make a nice utility addition to my bench. We'll see how my first real project with the brush turns out, but if the spray pattern, trigger nuance, and output is solid, this could easily become my go-to brush. ... show more

  • A great airbrush with so many replacement parts for added security
I like printing and painting 3D models. When I paint them, I'll use both a standard brush and airbrush. I currently use a Master airbrush which has served me well, but I thought I'd give this Nasedal airbrush a try. This sleek looking airbrush delivers as promised. I used it to apply some light gray primer to model parts (see pic). Nasedal's airbrush was very responsive and delivered primer evenly across the objects O painted. Afterwards, cleanup was just OK. I normally like to put my finger over the needle cap of my airbrush and let air backflow into the paint cup. Unfortunately, I was unable to do this with Nasedal's flared needle cap and I had to swap it with my Master's standard needle cap (see pics for examples of what I mean). Without backflow of air, paint threatens to dry around the airbrush's needle. That aside, Nasedal provides a lot of extra parts with this airbrush kit to ensure its owner can use it for a good long while. I recommend this airbrush for anyone considering purchasing one. Just be sure to also purchase a standard needle cap like the one I have on my Master airbrush (see pic). ... show more
