  • Solid vest, comfortable and adds intensity
Style: 20 Pounds (9.07 KG)
It is comfortable and adds intensity to work outs. Fits me well (170 lbs, 5'11" male). I bought the 20lb. When I run, I unbuckle the top strap otherwise it rubs against my neck, but it still works fine without that strap. Downsides: I wish it had an option for an additional lower strap. Also, the pocket "for your valuables" makes no sense because you couldn't possibly reach it without taking the whole thing off. It's more like a pocket for your running buddy's phone. ... show more

  • Wonderful addition to my workouts
Style: 20 Pounds (9.07 KG)
If you are a woman of a certain age and you are on the fence about getting a weighted vest, buy it! It has added to my fitness regimen in a way that weights simply couldn't do, especially for "functional" exercises such as getting off the floor, plunges, ankle raises, etc. For reference I am 5'6, 105 lbs, narrow shoulders, A cup, moderately fit, some back issues. I bought the 20 lbs option and it seems ideal for me right now, not too much, not too little. I wasn't sure what to look for as this is my first weighted vest and I've had bad luck with ankle weights in the past due to rubbing, always shifting around, uneven weight distribution and so on. No problems whatsoever with this vest - it's evenly weighted both horizontally and vertically, doesn't rub, doesn't shift, very comfortable overall. I was afraid that it might aggravate my back issues but as long as I limit the time I wear it, it seems ok. I also daresay it doesn't look terrible. It's relatively slim and sporty. Not embarassed to wear it for a walk in the park! ... show more

Great product. Not uncomfortable. Gets the job done

  • Overall a decent product but a bit disappointing
Style: 25 Pounds (11.34 KG)
tl;dr: Not bad but don't be fooled by the video I've been using the 25 pound vest for around three weeks now. I've been using it on average 4 - 5 times a week during my lunch gym sessions when training muay thai. Duration around 1 - 1.5hours per session without removing the vest. This means the photos and the review is done after 15 or so sessions. Pros: - relatively comfortable compared to other types of weighted vests out there - weight distribution is on your shoulders (can be good or bad) and it feels like an overall general shoulder workout throughout training. - great for pull ups and push ups - great for general conditioning with weights for lunges, squats, etc - can wear during light sparring and heavy bag exercises - our gym has a UV light plus heat sterilizer for equipment after use so the vest does not stink at all (not sure how it would fare if you did not clean it) - does not restrict breathing during cardio Cons: - one of the seams had fallen apart as shown in the photo. This does not really affect the overall usage of the vest but I had expected more in terms of quality. It does however mean that you feel more of a lump on that side of the vest during training. - can't use the back mesh to hold stuff when you go for a run as shown in the photo. Maybe your keys but I wouldn't dare to put my phone in the back as you can see it barely fits. Probably would need a velcro strap to hold it in or a zipper. (contrary to what they show in the video) - after a while, you will need to turn it upside down and shake the vest to redistribute the weighted beads - can't do a proper full range sit ups as the back part of the vest will interfere with your range of motion. (contrary to what they show in the video) - can't do mountain climbers as the vest will come loose - twisting motions and hooks will cause the vest to move around a bit Would not recommend product for those with shoulder issues as the majority of the weight rests on your shoulders. ... show more

  • Good quality, excellent range of motion, but lacks a bit in how much and where it can be tightened
Style: 30 Pounds (13.61 KG)
I do a lot of calisthenics like burpees, pull ups, push ups and moves that need flexibility. I like to wear a weighted vest sometimes for extra difficulty. This vest is really good and distributes the weight very well. It seems to have high quality, I used it really hard for a year and it has no rips or visible damage at all. The only thing I don't like is that it has no way to be able to tighten more around the bottom, and this makes some of it flop around when doing burpees or pushups. Then again, who wears a 36 lb vest when doing burpees anyways. ... show more

  • Great vest! Slight caution if you are slim.
Style: 20 Pounds (9.07 KG)
This is a GREAT vest for working out, just one slight caution for potential buyers. The positives: - Well made. Appears very durable. - Material is very comfortable. Kind of like Nylon/Neoprene. - Weight distribution is excellent. The weight is evenly distributed in front, back, and along the shoulders. - The design of this vest is great. It almost shouldn't be called a "vest". Provides COMPLETE range of motion and least body coverage of any vest I have seen on the market or have tried on. This design allows complete versatility for use in a workout, allows your body to breath and minimizes sweat accumulation. - Customer service is excellent. See below. - I read other reviews that mentioned the smell. While it does smell a bit when the box is received, I just let the vest sit out for a day and the smell was gone. - The price is right! Even though you can't really add or subtract weight to the vest, if you know how many pounds you want to use, you can buy two of these for the same price as competitor vests that have adjustable weights! The ONLY drawback - While there are different weight options, there is only one size option. I am about 5'8" and relatively slim - chest is about 39". Even with the 2 buckles tightened as much as possible, the vest moves around on me. I was looking for a SNUG fit for running and working out (doing a Murph, etc.), and the vest just bounces around a bit too much for me. Very disappointed, but only because everything else about this vest is AWESOME. If you're a size 40 or more chest, this vest is perfect. Having said that, the company's customer service is GREAT. Responded within a day and took care of me no questions asked. I really appreciate that. ... show more

I really like this weighted vest my brother has one and it is so overbearing you basically need two people to get it on and off this is the same weight easy to get on and off I live in the desert so something that is not taking over my whole body is nice in the warm weather
