You could use our tray cable or any general stranded copper core wire to connect the two. Make sure that you lead the wire into the battery terminal of the charge controller and match the + and – to the battery + and -. Make sure to screw in the exposed wire tightly inside the controller terminal. Then screw on the battery rings to the battery. Second, then connect your solar panel to your charge controller. We recommend that you connect the adapter kit to your panel first, then follow the + or – sign coming off of the leads of the panels and match it with the + and – sign on the charge controller. Be careful at this step, because if the panel is inserted incorrectly, you can have reverse polarity and short the system causing damage to the panels or controllers. Lastly, you can hook up your inverter to your battery by using battery ring cables and by matching the + to + and – to -. • You can self install. Just be thoughtful and deliberate
Size: 400W MPPT40A Color: 0 Ah
Just finished install of 400 w mono crystaline panel kit on my 24 ft travel trailer.. Order arrived a week ahead of schedule! Packaging of panels and accessories was very secure. All listed parts were included. For a 4 panel system you will need to order extra MC4 connectors for the long cable runs. I bought a kit that also included the crimper. GET THE CRIMPER and DO THESE CORRECTLY! (The crimp goes on the stripped bare wire not over the plactic wire insulation!) The supplied 10 ga cable was adequate but I needed just a bit more of the 8 gauge wire from controller to battery. ( Routing this system for a travel trailer is more challenging than on 5th wheel or Motor home) You will need to supply tape mastic and sealant for installing panel mounting brackets and roof gland. I also added a 30 AMP circuit breaker in the postive line before the controller. Also a 40 amp circuit breaker on positive line between the controller and battery. I installed the controller in the front bedroom and ran cable to battery through a hollow compartment below, drilled throught the floor and tied up the cable to the frame 'till it reached the battery. I used plastic surface mount conduit to cover the wire from the ceiling to the controller. Also used a plastic box to hide the 30 amp circuit breaker. The 40 amp breaker is hidden in my hollow compartment below. I also added a 10 amp blade fuse in an inline holder to the positive line of each panel. ( you might see the red wire and fuse holders in my roof wire runs. After I had it all working I put the roof cable in plastic split loom type tubing for neatness and extra protection. Then fastened it all with cable ties to available brackets and points. When I plugged it all in and turned it on, Presto! It Worked! Making good connections is important. I ended up re-making most of my MC4 conections for my 10 amp fuses and long wire runs after discovering I had done thm incorrectly! Same with connections to controller. The wire is stiff. Only finished today. We will give it a 6 day trial run next week. We are in cloudy Oregon so I do't expect big amperage output till the sun comes out. ... show more

  • Getting 265~270 watts flat mounted on RV roof. But no Li-ion!
Size: 400W MPPT40A Color: 0 Ah
For an RV roof you want the monocrystalline panels because you have limited space on the roof. They're lighted and smaller for the same wattage. These installed as expected, the controller is fine, everything is exactly what you expect. On a typical sunny Arizona day we generate 265 or 270 watts as long as the sun is high, good for being flat-mounted, not optimized. I expect you would get close to the rated wattage at noon with the panels pointing right at the sun, so the rating is right. Helped us with our boondocking power budget, we spend a LOT less time converting diesel into charge. Just let the sun shine and we're gaining. 8^) UPDATE: 06-05-2021 Our lead acid batteries just weren't getting it done, so I got a gigantic Lithium Iron battery to replace the 4 x 6v battery bank. And that works, because I remember the controller is compatible with Lithium batteries, right? Sort of... you'll need a CC-USB-RS485-150U, available on Amazon for about 10 bones. This is on page 21 of the Extensive (if not that helpful) user manual. And a software package, available from the ACO site (keep looking, it's on there!). After that I don't know, am awaiting the cable. I will update as this plays out. Very confusing, but if we get through this it'll all be good. ... show more

  • Exactly As Expected
Size: 100W Single Panel Color: 0 Ah
I bought two of these panels because they are aesthetically pleasing and do not draw attention to themselves as solar panels. I am installing them on the front side of my house so I didn't want something that distracted the eye from the normal look of the house. The satin/semi-gloss finish of the panel merged in well with the black porch so I was well pleased there. As for the performance, they are spot on. Using them in the dead heat of the summer, they become about 15% less efficient baking in the 98 degree heat as compared to their non-black counterparts of similar panels. This is to be expected as all solar panels suffer from being less efficient the hotter they are. I've not seen any deficiencies in workmanship or quality of the build; they stood up to their first pounding of rain as well. Usually the summer is the tougher months for a solar panel and so far I have no complaints. I don't forsee any trouble in the winter, however if anything does arise I'll update the review. ... show more

  • UPGRADING MY CAMPER WITH ACOPOWER
Size: 100W Single Panel Color: 0 Ah
First off, love the immediate support you get with customer service and technical support. Previously ordered the 60watt Solar Suitcase panels which have been working flawlessly and easy to setup and take down for travelling on the road. I have the need to upgrade to more wattage so I stuck with ACOPOWER products and added a 100watt Mono Solar Panel to the roof along with an aftermarket tilt bracket. Lynn at ACOPOWER sent an adapter to allow both panel assemblies to be hooked up in parallel.. I have no doubt that they should work on my next camping trip. They put out till the sun goes down in the shade. Highly recommend going with ACOPOWER panels along with the support you will get after the purchase. ... show more

  • very nice! It works just fine even on cloudy days ...
Size: 100W Single Panel Color: 0 Ah
I purchased one of the 100W all black solar panels, very nice! It works just fine even on cloudy days produces the same amount of energy as on sunny days. I installed for a courtyard solar light 60W! Used a 20amp MPPT phocos solar charge controller with a 12 volt 120ah gel battery, solar panel maximum charge current: 5.2 amp beyond my imagination! talking about these panels, great value, very nice construction, gives the rated power output. It is important that they have a technical engineer for the design of the solar system are very experienced and gave me a lot of design proposals, great, would buy again for my 24 volt solar pump, watering lawns. ... show more
