Acmind BBQ Gloves ..Conclusion: Definitely great value! *see VIDEO Bought for my welder hoping they'd got his huge paws AND work well for his work w hot metal/welding & hobby smelting/refining precious metals. He was skeptical but took em to work next day. I got this video an hr later (that steel plate he's turning gets HOT and the sparks burn a million holes on his usual thick leather gloves). They fit just fine on his extra large hands & compared to the heavy leather welding gloves they use these are far lighter, cooler & pliable. Now everyone wants a pair. Who woulda thunk it? Me ;) SCORE! My husband has issues with his vision in one eye which make it difficult for him to avoid touching the sides of a hot pot when stirring or frying. I bought these gloves for him and he loves them.     • They do provide protection
It's a one size fit all product, so they didn't fit well. I have an inch of play at the end of my fingertips so any fine movement is impossible. I was able to lift pans off the grill without getting burned so in that respect they work.

    • Good heat protection with a caveat
The gloves have five fingers which provide dramatically improved grasping ability. You can easily pick up very small hot objects. The gloves have strips of silicone attached to the fabric which provide the heat protection. You have to be somewhat careful to grasp a hot item and only allow the silicone strips to contact the hot surface. If you don't grasp carefully, you will quickly feel the heat through the fabric. This only happened once but it did alert me to being more careful. This risk is far outweighed by the flexibility the gloves provide. ... show more

    • Heat Resistant works.
I was looking forward to this gloves because I bake a lot but when saw the instructions I was a little disappointed. It’s not the gloves fault because I should’ve done the research better. When I’m baking at 450 degrees F, the gloves will last around 8 seconds but by the 4 second I feel heat already in my fingers. So it literally just to take things out of the oven and to put them down. Quality looked good. ... show more

    • As a burn victim....
I am extremely anxious around fire. These were originally purchased for my husband to use while grilling, but I've found they work just fine for use in the house as well. Anytime I need to get something out of the oven, air fryer, or instant pot, I wear these gloves to protect my hands. After an accident left me with 3rd degree burns on my hands and face, my heat tolerance barely exists. Opening the oven makes my hands turn bright red, so these gloves protect so much more than a regular potholder. Highly recommend! ... show more

    • Effective but not large enough
They are extremely effective at controlling the heat and have been useful many times since I first got them a couple months ago. They won't protect you indefinitely, but they are clearly better than normal hotpads and much easier to use than silicone hotpads. My only complaint is that they are tight. I don't have huge hands (usually a men's medium for snow and work gloves) but these are tight enough that they are a little awkward to put on. Once on they are usable and not uncomfortable, but getting them on sometimes even requires my wife's help. Also, be careful with them after use as The material on the outside can stay hot for 15 to 20 seconds sometimes. ... show more
