  • Decent beer
Color: Irish Red Ale
I like the simplicity of this kit just add can in hot water add sugar stir so everything is completely mixed add water until 6 gallons and ferment. It tastes really good,I prefer this Irish red ale over a couple more expensive kits I've bought. This will be my regular beer I make.

  • Wrong, the is extract is pre-hopped.
Color: Brown Ale
Boiling pre-hopped extract (to add hops) is not good. Dry hopping is best, but it does not need it, it's Ale. Though in today's HOPPY craft beer world, I see the point. It is also short on instructions. Reading the ingredients will be the clue to the hops. I found this a little weak on flavor. If I buy this again I'd skip the extra sugar, and just make 4 gallons. That's a guess, first I'll check some recipes based on the weight of the HME. That's what Mr Beer calls it. maybe better to say HLME. ... show more

  • Delightfully Sweet Red Ale
Color: Irish Red Ale
This red ale brewed quickly. When poured it provided a nice foamy head. The ale has a rich hoppy sweetness to the pallet, with a licorice tone. This would be a great October fall brew.
