  • Pumps like crazy, starts and runs great
I love this pump, it started right up on the first pull, after filling with oil & gas. It runs reliably, and smoothly. I used it to suck a couple inches of sand from the bottom of a 10’x8’ 2’-deep backyard pond, with a custom homemade strainer and 2” suction hose, and it did great! I had to refill the pond a couple times because it sucked out all of the water before I could remove all of the sand - it really pumps out a lot of water very fast! Three times the impeller got stuck by a piece of gravel, and I had to dismantle the pump to clear the blockage. Dismantling is easy, and it is designed to be taken apart by hand without any tools. ... show more

  • Overall not bad... esp for the price
Been using this to clean out some silt in a boat slip... it's not super easy nor super quick, but it does seem to be doing the job. Shipping from the manufacturer took longer than I had hoped (I think it was about a week longer than expected). The accessories all work decently, the discharge hose could have been longer... Overall though it worked, but it took me longer and more time than I had expected based on reading reviews from other people doing similar stuff. It's a good tool to have in my arsenal. ... show more

  • very good pump
This is the best starting motor i've ever had. Fill it with oil and gas and pull the rope and it's running.Filled pump with water(primed) the first time and after that its self priming.(takes about 25-30 seconds for it to start pumping)Run's great and pump's a LOT of water. At full throttle it run's about an hour and a half.My only complaint's so far are gas tank only hold's .95 of a gallon of gas and when i got it the suction hose was kinked in 3 or 4 place's because of the way it was wraped with tie wrap's( it cracked where it was kinked) .Called the company and the are sending me a new one.Customer service seemed very eager to make it right. If i have any problem's i will add to this review.5 star's so far. ... show more

  • Broke after 2 days and they refuse to help
I started it up and it work fine for a cheep pump. Next day I noticed a little water between pump and motor. Third day it was spraying everywhere. Pump vibrated off pump. I've been trying for over a month to make it right! They once said they'd call but didn't. Other than that it's been radio silence. Do not buy from this company, I understand it a cheep pump but completely ignoring customers is a huge problem!!!!! DO NO ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! ... show more

  • It does the job!
I purchased this to clean out water troughs full of muck. It does the job as long as you can keep fresh water running into the trough and stir it around with a shovel or something. It will stop up if the muck gets to solid, but all pumps will. The machine itself seems to be good quality. The motor starts easily every time. The pump does need a little priming sometimes depending on the water level. This thing moves a lot of water really fast. ... show more

  • Does what is says.
I am using this to suck mud from under my boat dock. This pump is very powerful, pumps uphill and I am thrilled with the performance. I have added a 2” adapter and fire hose nozzle and have a stand by fire hose. I live semi rural.

  • Not sure what I think yet as multiple pieces were damaged when I received this product
When I received my product the discharge hose was permanently kinked in 2 places and the frame was also damaged and bent. Also keep pump mounting bolts were installed but not attached. I will need a new hose before using.

  • Good Value Pump for the Money
I bought this for a small quarter acre pond that needs to be drained and dug back out. I chose this strictly on price point. I have used it for approximately 25 hours and this has been my experience with this unit. The package arrived in fair condition and was packed well enough that there was no damage. The hoses that come with this unit we’re coiled and banded together in places and due to the packaging the banding caused a creased kink into a section of the input hose. I was able to use my heat gun to warm the area up and open it back up the best I could and use gorilla tape to seal the crack that occurred in one of the sections while doing it. I have had no problems with the hoses after the fix. I will say the hoses that come with this unit Are a lot shorter than I would like and I highly recommend you measure out where you’re going to be pumping from because most likely you’re gonna need more hose length. The unit started right up and this thing moves a lot of water. But after my second tank of gas I could not get the pump to start again no matter what I tried. After doing some research online I decided to try disconnecting the lead that goes to the on off switch as these go can go bad and that did the trick. Now I have to turn it off by pulling the spark plug wire if I don’t run it out of gas and I haven’t had any issues other than that. That is a seven dollar fix if I do decide it bothers me that much or maybe warranty???……… The reason I’m taking away one star is because of customer service. Immediately after this thing stopped working and before I figured out what was wrong on my own I contacted the company through their website and left a message over the phone and never received a response from either. That is something a little worrisome especially if this had been something I could not have figured out on my own for a brand new unit. I took a chance on this pump even though it had only a few mixed reviews because I have a lot of small engine experience and time with another trash pump before this. Besides the issue with the on off switch I am happy with my purchase and think the pump is going to last a long time. ... show more
