My 2015 Forester needed a control arm bushing replaced, so I figured I may as well replace the whole control arm and bushings. I got stuck several times hammering away on the ball joint and knuckle assembly before giving up and buying this on a whim. Turns out those hours of hammering could have been resolved in a few minutes with this. It was a little tedious attaching the ball joint to this, but after that the process is seamless. That thing was rust welded and this made it seem like nothing. It does require a 24mm deep socket, so make sure you have that (and maybe a breaker bar) on standby. This works well. You still need to use a large flat tip screwdriver or chisel to spread the pinch poins apart before trying to pull the balljoint out. After taking a long time on the other side I was done within around thirty minutes using this tool.
