    • It has power!
I wasn't expecting alot out of this chainsaw. But it starts on the first pull when warmed up. Maybe the 3rd pull with the choke on when cold. It cuts so nice and effortless, this thing is a beast! My brother was so impressed with this saw after he used it, he bought one too. The chain had to be tightened once after initial start up and first use but after a cord of wood, it's still doesn't need tightening. The chain seems to be good quality. It's still sharp. The only thing we have both noticed is that you go thru fuel pretty fast. That might just be the nature of bigger saws. Power is abundant with this thing. It never bogged down. How long will it last, I don't know but if I had to buy a cord of wood, it would of been more then the chainsaw cost so it has already paid for itself minus my labor.     • Great saw bad quality control
Honestly, this saw is amazing overall and was pretty easy to assemble and start. The reason why I knocked off one star was because one of the holes for the bump spike was not threaded or tapped at the factory. Luckily, I have a set at home and I was able to tap it in less than 5 minutes. This goes to show that there is a lack of quality control at the factory. I see other reviews also have minor issues like this. Other than that, the saw was easy to assemble and started right up. It uses a 25:1 fuel ration which is about 5oz oil to 1 gallon or 40 milliliters oil to 1 gallon. What is in the box other than the chainsaw: - Chain - Extra Spark Plug - Manual - Screwdriver for tensioner - Wrench - rope - rod - Fuel ratio mixing container - Funnel This DOES NOT come with: - Chain oil - 2 stroke engine oil So be sure to buy that along with it. After putting it together, this thing started after just 4 pulls and I was able to cut through a few pieces of thick oak to test. I guess I will have to come back and update this review once I put it through good use. Yes, the initial startup is great but that does not mean it wont fail down the road. For now, I recommend you give it a try for the price. This is less than half the price of other major brands and if you have a large job where you need a chainsaw to get you through, this will do even if it only lasts that job.     • Defective equipment
Received chainsaw earlier this year. Had it being winter I haven’t used. It looked solid. This past weekend I was going to get it going. Filled the fuel tank and chain case oil up. Then noticed that the gas tank was leaking all over. Have no idea how but to think it’s defective. It sure who to contact to solve this issue. It’s definitely unusable. Tried a number I found but always no awnser or call back from leaving my messages. ... show more

The saw is built well and runs great. My problem with it is I ran it for a total of 5 hours give or take and I can no longer lighten the bar and chain. The screw seems stripped as it just free spins and won't tighten anything. I have reached out to the manufacturer and waiting on a response. Will update ... show more

Cut quite bit of wood today after wind storm come threw and knocked down a 74 ft tree in my yard. First time useing one gas chain saw. Was impressed how nice and quick that it cut the tree up. One pull took only 2 pulls to get it to start. Would buy again after first start chain need to be tight up but after that did not have a problem with the chain. ... show more

This chainsaw cut up a fallen tree that in some spots was wider than the 20" bar was long. Great power. Light-weight and easy to maneuver. Used it for 4.5 hours today. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a high powered (62cc) chainsaw. I am 99.99% satisfied. The 0.01% issue is the on/off switch. I inadvertently switched it off many times. Started right up. This tree was 40ft tall. It did the job better than I had hoped. Remember than when you run out of fuel, which I did 4 times, check the bar oil as well. Great product! ... show more

    • Chainsaw is great, chain is not. Will need to replace the chain.
Took awhile to get this GTHAN 62cc Gas Chainsaw started the first time but after that it would start on the first pull and ran great, no adjustments needed. Revs up with no problem and has good power cutting hardwoods. The overall quality of materials and construction is surprisingly good, better than I expected, making this chainsaw (when on sale) a good value. However, plan on buying a new chain - Oregon 21BP072, 0.325, .058, 72 tooth. The supplied chain is probably the cheapest chain I have ever encountered. Every 5 or so cuts I had to readjust it. Eventually after about 30 cuts it wasn't stretching as much but was about 1/3 as sharp as when I started. So plan on buying a chain when/if you buy this chainsaw, especially if you are planning on making a lot of cuts when you first get the chainsaw. And if you use the supplied chain, make sure check the chain slack after every cut as you do not want the chain coming off the bar as it did for one reviewer. ... show more

    • I love these chainsaws
These chainsaws very powerful and incredible value. They come with a mixing bottle, funnel, extra spark plug, extra pull string, and a file. I have three Gthan saws at this point, so I can rest them between fuel fills when bucking large trees. I really like the side adjusted chain, similar saws on amazon can come with the adjuster screw next to the bar, which makes chain adjustments difficult. Out of the three, one had the pull cord break on the second tank of fuel and that has been the only issue I have had. Luckily they provide spare cords. The 25:1 oil ratio ensures a very long life with the engine. To avoid heat damage, rest the saw between fuel tanks, and make the best of the break by running the file over the chain to keep the chain in good shape. It's worth mentioning, the EPA started the 50:1 recommendation, not US manufacturers, and it's known to shorten the life of chainsaws. The mixing bottle is about two tanks of fuel, makes measuring bulletproof and helps avoid bulk mixing, which leftover fuel spoils and hurts the carb. ... show more
