I thought for sure at this price point this camera was going to give us trouble actually using it underwater at the beach. We have had this for a few months now and use it every weekend down at our beach house in Atlantic city. In the pool and even in the ocean it has yet to fail. Even the battery and sd card compartments are watertight. The price has dropped since our purchase but even at the $100 price point it is hard to believe we can buy a camera of this quality for that. Ten years ago, a camera like this would have been well over $500. I know because we looked. This is not a toy or a camera for the kids to play with. It is a good solid camera that takes fantastic pictures. I am very happy even though it is now $30 I still feel this camera was a great purchase. Seems like electronic devices are the only thing these days that is getting better in quality and cheaper in price. I am truly shocked that still now this camera is working as well as the day we purchased it. I have shared this with friends and family who are also very happy with this camera.
