So my husband purchased one of these crates YEARS ago when we first adopted our dog. He loves it! We keep padding in it and he spends most of the day inside. We never lock the door unless we have a technician or company over (rarely) so he just uses it as a bed. My son ended up getting a dog from his dad, who recently passed, but was warned that the dog is a professional escape artist and manages to get out of every cage they had. Needless to say, I had to purchase this cage for him. This cage is a bit smaller than the one we own but was the only similar cage that could be delivered ASAP. It arrived quickly (thank you!) and was super easy to set up. Within a week, I got a call that the dog managed to escape 😫. Apparently, this cage has a feature that my cage doesn't have. There is a smaller door to put food/water in the cage without opening the main door. If you have an escape artist, like my son does, purchase a PADLOCK for that small door because his 65 lb dog managed, in some miraculous scientific way, to squeeze thru the tiny door. I'm not sure if I should remove a star from the crate or add a few stars to the determination of the dog. Either way, LOCK IT! I liked the easy assembly but when moving it, feels wonky. Sturdy overall. The husky fits but I just wish it was taller for her. the top really needs to be enclosed to keep it sturdy. with top open, it seems a bit flimsy.

We have a rescue dog who has escaped or chewed through every crate we've bought. (A total of 3 in 3 weeks.) This crate has held strong and he has not been able to even make a dent in it. This is such a great price point and a very good product.

I have had it for 2 months now. It works for my dog. She only goes there a few times a week for short periods of time 20 min - 3.5 hours 😬 I recommend… just don’t expect to leave your dog for 8 hours without any attention.

Easy to assemble, constructed as advertised. Our dog tried to escape but couldn’t damage the cage. She seems to be accepting confinement after destroying other wire cage construction.
