I’m rather disappointed in this product as it doesn’t work at all like I hoped it would. The humidifier feature does help cool the air a bit but I had trouble with it leaking and had to be very careful about how much ice I put in it. Once the outside temperature gets over 85° or when there’s high humidity it doesn’t help much at all. I bought 2 of them and the swivel feature on one stopped working completely after a few days and the other still works but makes an annoying sound so I don’t use it because the noise drives me crazy. It is essentially a fan and is a very cheaply made one - not even close the same quality as less expensive fans I’ve purchased in the past. Not at all worth the price I paid for them. Update: the seller reached out and offered a full refund for my purchase and was extremely helpful and responsive. I wasn’t expecting a refund at all and was very surprised and impressed by their level of customer service! ... show more

    • Cooling effect is meh, fan power is meh
I had high hopes for this fan, but it does not cool as much as advertised or even reviewed. I'd say it could be because the room in which I put it is too big, but when I put ice cold water PLUS the ice packs (six ice packs total; I use the four that comes with it and a couple small extras I already had in my freezer), the air doesn't feel cold. It's cooler, yes, but not by much. The fan is not as strong as I was expecting; my dinky little Target tower fan that's six years old is more powerful than this. I could see this working decently in, say, my tiny 9' x 7' home office, but not for anything much larger than that. ... show more

    • It's cheap and you get what you pay for
I wanted something small that I could fit in the corner. It is that, and that's the nicest I can say about it. My complaints are few enough that it's not worth returning, but I am not thrilled with it. The fan is just too weak, on the highest setting it's rather weak. The narrow design does allow it to sit in my corner, but it also means that it offers almost no coverage. The console too is annoying, it doesn't remember the last settings so every time I turn it on I have to press the speed button twice to set the maximum power and then press the cold button to turn on the pump. The ice packs do help a little but the effect is pretty minimal. I wish I had just bought something a little nicer and bigger. Given the current heatwave I will be keeping it, and I don't feel ripped off, I bought a low end evaporative cooler and that's what I got. Now I just wished I had forked over the cash for something better. ... show more

    • High tech swamp cooler that works well as a fan or air cooler
I usually read the reviews before I purchase an electronic item. It already had good reviews so I decided to purchase the 42-INCH Evaporative Air Cooler, SKYICE Windowless Portable Air Conditioner for Room w/3 speeds, a timer, a cold setting, and three modes. I like that it has a filter for the airflow. I like that it includes four small bottles with powder in it for water to be added and put into the freezer before placing in the machine. I like that the machine has an optional swing mode that allows it to swivel from side to side. From 6 feet away, low has a good airflow. Not sure why the nighttime mode and the mode that has a little 'cloud' on the top display both have an identical cycle through the speeds. The wind or breeze simulation on those modes seems redundant. Personally I don't care for the speed changes in either of those modes, seems a bit noisy, thus 4 stars. Overall though I find this to be a very useful product, and I hope to get some years out of it and also purchased Asurion 3 year package in case something goes wrong after initial warranty expires. ... show more

    • Swivel stopped working
Item provides a cool breeze but does not get ice cold which is what I was looking for I just needed to cool off one of our rooms in the house that gets fairly hot in the summers. The problem I have is that the swivel button stopped working after a month of use. -- update-- After leaving a review their customer service immediately reached out and asked how they could make this better. They offered a full refund and provided it via Amazon gift card. They also assured me that they have looped in their developers in making sure this defect is addressed. Even though the item I purchased has the swivel issue, their customer service was spot on and super supportive and helpful. I changed my 2 star to a 4 star because of their customer service however it is not a full 5 since the item did stop swiveling. ... show more

    • Fan is nice, swap cooler is muggy
I bought this during the summer since our central AC was down to get us by. The fan part is really nice and is also quite. It circulates the air well. The swamp cooler part does not really produce cool air into the room to bring the temperature down, it only feels cool if you are sitting right in front of it. It also makes the room feel very humid and muggy. This item doesn't really work for the cooling feature. ... show more

I bought this fan in April and it's July and this fan is leaking. Not from the bottom but from the silver seal that separates the actual fan from the water hold. Update: After writing a review about this leaking fan. The company reached out to me and offered to either (1) replace or (2) refund. It's a decent fan, and the blowing function works really well. We've had it for only a couple of months and are already having on and off issues with the oscillation function. Even with the ice cubes the air doesn't blow super cold. Also it takes a lot of water and you have to refill it often. The remote is cool though.
