The Hydra Stop 300 hydrophobic polyurethane expands inside the crack and fills it bottom to and inside to outside. Included with this kit is the Poxy Paste surface sealer and port adhesive. Poxy Paste tightly bonds to concrete to ensure there are no leaks or blowouts during the injection process. This repair process works on concrete walls with a brick pattern. • Works Great
I agree it’s on the pricey side. But this is a VERY impressive product. The initial viscosity is at least of par with water so this will close off cavities deep inside the wall. I used this on my actively leaking cracks and then painted the rest wall with a dry lock paint. Bone dry ever since. Just bought a second kit because I found more cracks while doing a basement demo. This is professional grade and will cost you thousands to have someone else do it. ... show more

  • Good, but probably more like 20'
After getting some water in my basement, I got a couple bids and did a ton of research and landed on do-it-yourself foam injection. I'd do it again, but I have some caveats and some learnings.... Caveat 1: it comes with a bunch of flat surface AND corner ports. I don't know who needs a bunch of corner ports (I used 3), but I totally ran out of flat ports. Pick up a couple of overpriced bags of ports... Other brands work (and, I found the DRICORE PRO Concrete Repair Injection Ports to adhere a little better). Caveat 2: If there's any substantially sized crack, this stuff really won't go near 40'. I used one whole tube on a 3 foot section where I likely had a bit of a void behind the crack. Where the cracks were narrow, I got a lot of distance. About a third the way in, I ordered a whole lot more (directly from the manufacturer since they don't seem to sell just the supplies on Amazon). Caveat 3: the plastic tubs this comes with are meh. A disposable paper bowl worked better for me since it was easier to hold and shallower so easier to scoop out of. Caveat 4: the rubber glovers that come with this set are easy to tear when you get a little sticky. Then you get the sticky all over your finger instead of the glove and it's not gonna wash off. Grab some heavy duty nitrile gloves. Learning 1: Go big with the epoxy over the crack and port edges. Really make sure you don't have tiny holes and that the port edges are totally glued down (this is where the DRICORE ones worked better...). If you don't, a lot of your crazy expensive goo is going to run out and expand into a nasty mess. I definitely took a break after the first tube of polyurethane and went over the remainder with another thick layer. Learning 2: The epoxy is serious stuff. They sell a peel-off version elsewhere. If you want to get rid of the epoxy, you're going to need a grinder (with a dust shroud). I'm fixing a mix of finished and unfinished basement spaces and ended up grinding more than I'd planned. All in all, with the additional purchases (more foam, more ports, better grinder), I spent a lot of money, but it was still less than half my bids. We've had a few big storms since and it's still dry.... ... show more

  • Easy to use to achieve professional results
Product came well packaged. I ended up mixing the epoxy on pieces of the cardboard from shipping. I found it goes a lot further if you mix a little at a time manually and spread it. If you have a brick textured poured foundation wall, prepare yourself for hours of applying the epoxy with the included mixing sticks. I found it extremely time consuming to get in between all the textures. If you are working on a flat poured foundation this will be a breeze. I ended up with 1 extra proxy paste and used all 4 bottles of foam. 3/16" wide cracks and this kit will easily do 40' of cracks. Larger cracks will require a lot more foam. I injected this stuff starting at the lowest port and working my way up as stated in the instructions. This foam will literally find the smallest crack and come out. Take your time with the epoxy and injection ports. Prepare yourself for a mess when you start injecting the ports. I used the hose and it is extremely difficult to run the dispenser, hold the hose on the end of the mixing tip and attempt to insert plugs. I had my son drop plugs into my hand when it was time, my hands were so sticky it would have been impossible to pick them up without making a mess. Use larger plastic garbage bags to catch the foam that drips out of the ports and to set the dispenser down. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the product. The price is high, but this is a fraction of the price versus hiring someone to do the same thing. I am probably going to end up using two of these kits for all the cracks in my basement. ... show more

  • Works great for sealing cracks in poured concrete foundations
After receiving a couple of $7,000+ quotes for repairing water leaks in my basement I went to work on the Internet to find a less expensive solution. I found this product and purchased a smaller kit two years ago. I cut out the drywall at the worst leak and removed the insulation and rotted studs and floor plate. The crack, caused by settling, was almost 1/4" wide at the ceiling and ran all the way to the floor where it was a hairline. The total length of the crack was almost 10 feet. I waited for it to rain before making the repair and water was coming in through the crack starting 5 feet up from the floor. The instructions with the kit were clear and easy to follow. I was pleasantly surprised at how simple applying the foam repair was. I have left the drywall off for the last two years and have checked the repaired crack after each rain. The Polyurethane foam has completely stopped the leak and stood the test of time. I bought this bigger kit to seal the other 3 cracks. . I hired professional drywallers to patch the basement walls and did the repainting myself. I saved close to $4,000 and had a much smaller mess to deal with.I highly recommend the product. ... show more
