Initial Review- I just received my package today and it appears to have been used it’s dented and scratched all over. The inside is clearly dirty. I haven’t attempted to make any soap yet, I’m not sure if I should First I must add that the company did everything they possible could to replace the product. I felt so awful because one of the packages went missing, as I couldn't track any longer. The shipper had to replace with a third product that came in beautifully packaged and protected. There were no defects on the second one I received. It was so much work and so difficult on the companies part that I felt so awful for my review but I am very grateful to have received the product in wonderful shape. The soap melts easily an the temperature remains consistent. Everything was easy to clean and just beautiful. My soap smells wonderful! Thank you for your wonderful customer service and I apologize for all the inconveniences.

You can make large batches of soap very quickly with no problem of having to melt another batch for the next order. I’ll buy 1 more for the white soap base.

I received this 24 hours ago, and immediately put mp soap to test it. The pros were it melted my soap perfectly and fast. Before this I was using the microwave method and hated it, so this is a game changer. That said, and perhaps it is user error, if so I will update the review. After using the soap, and having perhaps a cup left, I removed the lid to see how it was draining. I then turned around to prepare another mold to use the remaining soap. During this time, the melter heated my soap to over 300 degrees. It was boiling, smoking, and spitting, I now know exactly what burned soap smells like. I’m hoping it was because I had the lid off, but I’m not sure as you also need to remove the lid to stir. In either case the remainder of my soap was destroyed. It was easy to clean by adding water and pouring out. The only other con, is it is not heavy enough, so opening and closing the pour valve results in sliding the melter all over the counter top. It’s possible to hold it, but you almost need 3 hands to hold the melter, hold your container, and operate the valve. All of that aside, providing it does not incinerate the soap again, it’s definitely a game changer and I am happy to use it — it definitely beats the microwave UPDATE I cannot stress how satisfied I am with this company. After posting my review the company reached out and made it right. The defective unit was replaced and appears to be working well. The company has since been in contact to ensure all is well. Probably the best customer service I have seen -- well done, and thank you. The only reason I am still giving 4 and not 5 stars, is I think the base needs more weight as by design it is slightly top heavy, and prone to sliding. But overall, I am very satisfied.

This is such a great melting pot. It holds a huge quantity of chopped soap and melts quickly and efficiently. The automatic turn off and warm keeps the soap at the perfect temp. Great value for the money and for the DIY person

This product melts soap base quickly, however there are little pieces of something that comes out with the soap base. These pieces look like metal. They show up in your molded soap. You have to dig them out and this makes the soap look bad. I Nothing you do prevents this. If you are selling soap I would not recommend this melter. We are going to purchase another brand melter as this problem is unacceptable. New review: The company sent us a replacement. The new one works great, no impurities seen after using. We really appreciate that the company took the initiative to resolve the issue. Thank you for that. Soap bars look great! We are now back on track with soap production. Company did send a replacement, however problem began after a month. The melter has disgusting peices of something that gets in the soap bars. Melter totally unusable.
