First time installing drip irrigation system and I wanted more emitters than provided with starter kit. I ordered these and they are FAR SUPERIOR emitter compared to all of the other emitters. 1. They have a nut that secures the 1/4” line to the barbed emitter. This prevents the carwash scenario that happened with cheaper parts in the greenhouse when I turned the water on and the cheaper connectors blew out (yes, with the pressure reducer installed). Hilarious! 2. The emitter tips are adjustable and customizable to each plant tray. 3. Price point is a value, one drawback could be sedimentation, planning to do a swap out to remove lime build up from hard water in the future- but this would be all emitters eventually. I am thinking I will add these to outdoor beds too. ... show more

    • Finally! 1/4 emitters that don't clog constantly

I have used spot spitters and drip irrigation and they constantly were clogged. The drip line was clogged completely in one season and I had to remove it. That is when I found these guys. After I installed one row of these for my smaller trees, I knew I was going to buy more of them. The spray is adjustable and if you do get a clog, just turn the top to high and it cleans itself instantly. Since they are adjustable, I can set them to around 2-10 gallons an hour. I assume that is the rate as I put one in a 5 gallon bucket once to see how much I was getting. A single hose with decent pressure around 50psi should be able to run about 30-40 of these emitters spraying around a 2 foot diameter. If you ran about 25 it would be about a 3 foot diameter. I run mine at about 8 per row. If you are going to do one long row, either adjust the emitters to a lower spray or put a hose at the beginning and end of the row so you get even water distribution. Either way, great quality product. None have broken in over a year and I am running about 80 of them and some have been wacked by the weedwacker pretty hard. ... show more

Installed these in & around my landscaping & they work as advertised . They're small & adjustable & they do the job . Infact I think that these are better than 2GPM emitters because the can be adjusted for flow . Just make sure you have enough 1/4" hose .
