I highly suggest getting these ground anchors. I have sandy soil and these stayed firmly in the ground as hurricane Milton's eye hovered over us for an hour! My papaya and bananas were saved. In sandy soil, drive them in at an angle for more stability.

The anchors are built strong. My problem is my dirt is so dry that it is hard to get the anchors to bite and dig in. No fault of the anchor that I can see.
