I have a pair of 12’ x 14’ insulated doors and the original weather strips wore out and weren’t working. Only place to get OEM for doors was a local garage door company and a couple hundred bucks. So, enter Amazon! These have adhesive on the back so after cleaning, I applied these to the length I wanted and then ran self tapping screws every 16” to add additional strength. We have an OLD garage door. It is at least 30 years old. The previous owner had taken a similar seal and installed it wrong. He basically nailed it to the bottom of the door. I tried to install this as shown, but the adhesive will not stick to the door. Maybe it would if this was a brand new paint job, but I still doubt that. I just took a bunch of roofing nails and used one about every 4 inches across the bottom of the door. It still is not great for my garage door, because the bottom corners have a metal bracket for the rollers. It is not possible to nail into the wood at that point.
