    • Impressive RC car when compared to competitors (on Amazon) in the similar price level
I'll preface by saying I'm an entry-level RC car buyer, so if you're looking to go hardcore and fork out $300-$400+ on an RC car, you might want to go the Traxxas, etc. route. If you're looking for a high-quality entry-level RC car to drive around on the street/yard with your kids, neighbors, etc. then this is a good bet. PROS: - This car is by far the best on Amazon at this price range. It's fast (averages around 25-27+ mph at top) and handles extremely well. A few of the dads and kids bought RC cars recently and we all race them around on the road. A few are really similar in type and cost level (other 1/10 or 1/16 cars on Amazon in the $150 range) and I gotta say this one definitely shines. - It also beats them out with longer battery life - the 40+ mins of operation is definitely attainable using two batteries, where most other cars only make it about 20 tops. - The enclosed battery compartment is extremely underrated as it protects the car from getting fried when going through a puddle. Most others are open and are more susceptible to damage on the interior. - You are going to need replacement parts for any RC car if it's a) powerful and b) has longevity - just a fact. I gotta say the customer support at Laegendary is pretty dang good. I had a question about a part the first week I had the car and they responded quickly and gave me exactly what I needed. - The parts on the car are for the most part pretty durable - you'll be surprised by the quality when you see it. CONS: - Conversely on the previous point, some of the parts are less durable. For instance, the front bumper is plastic and is almost certain to break at some point if you go off road or do jumps. This isn't much of a "con" on the product - just pointing out that it may need to be replaced if both struts crack on you. It does need to absorb shock so I understand why it's designed the way it is. - With a brushed motor, you will feel some heat if you use this for an extended period of time (40+ mins straight of driving). That's expected and isn't too much of a "con" - just be aware that it is a downfall when comparing to its brushless counterpart. I've taken this out for about 5-6 runs already and honestly can't think of any other cons on it. Note, I've been pretty rough on it already as well going off jumps and having plenty of collisions. My main advice on keeping this thing running as long as possible would be: a) know how to go off jumps correctly avoiding huge crashes on the ground. The shocks are pretty good and can absorb force on the tires. However, if you're constantly landing on the sides/rolling/etc. you're bound to jar something loose at some point. b) don't be afraid to inspect your car after long runs/crashes/etc as you'll avoid the big issues by making the small fixes when they come up. Remember to periodically tighten the lug nuts on your wheels as well. Definitely recommend this car - if you're a situation like mine you're bound to make everyone jealous of your good car. ... show more

    • Wow, what a great RC Trophy Truck. Again, Wow!
I purchased this RC truck for my son for Christmas after he showed interest in some of the crap RC trucks at Walmart. When it arrived, I thought I should charge the batteries to have it ready to go when he opened it on Christmas Day. When I got it out of the package, I was very impressed with the quality of this RC truck. Very solid with top-notched engineering. It has real shocks and a well designed suspension system along with metal drive components. Very well built RC truck and worth the $110+ over Walmart’s most expensive crap! After the charging was completed, rather than just putting it back in the package, I decided I needed to try it out, you know, just to be sure it would satisfy a teenaged boy. Wow, this thing is fast, agile, and just totally amazing! It comes with two batteries that can both be put on board, either plugged in in series, for double the run time, or just individually to keep one fresh for later. The remote is great too as they have thought of everything. No joysticks like some of the cheaply made store junk. This controller has a hand grip with a steering wheel with many features; like steering alignment trim control, two speed settings, a foam rubber rapped steering wheel, and more. I say, spend the money on this great RC truck if you’re in the market because you won’t be disappointed. OK here we are day 3 with a bent axle. They are really thin. Car hit a jump off angle and landed on one of the wheels, bending the tiny axle. Let's see what this takes to get replaced and I'll adjust my review accordingly. Again, impressive car but if the speed cant match durability then it's all show no throw, meaning it wont last long and y'all will be wasting $115 bucks in no time. Original review: I want to start by saying this absolutely would be a 5 star purchase IF I had confidence in getting spare parts, which I dont. Front bumper, most likely to break which protects your frame - out of stock. Tires, which wear QUICKLY on pavement with a 12 year old having a blast, not even offered for sell. Seems there are no standards to use other equipment but I dont know, we know nothing about this hobby really. I can already tell Im going to need tires in a month and probably new batteries in a couple of months. Old and young alike loved watching this thing zip around. This is vastly better than a toy RC truck you might get at a local big retailer. It is fast and interesting to watch, Im not sure if it's 30+ mph fast but it's probably close. If you have grass and are concerned if this thing can cruise through it, it probably will. I have N.E area juicy spring time mix that is about 3" high. This little buggy just rips through the yard bouncing around. Put it on the street and watch it really scream. We've accidently come into contact with ground covering shrubbery, and discovered a nice little jump for this thing. They do seem to like to jump. Turn the steering sensitivity and watch this thing slide turn on a dime. The batteries are tight in the battery box, the batteries go on the smaller end allowing more room for the junction plug and wires to tuck into the battery box FYI. It's also worth mentioning we get about 20-25 minutes of run time. We run on high and go a bit, turn around, jump a curb into the grass, do a hill climb, drop back down over a planting bed, back onto the street, jump a curb back into the grass, do a few laps on the road. Fairly persistently like that, with maybe a minute break. I have noticed on the 4th use the battery life seems to have gotten a tad shorter. Oh and it's nice they give you a battery bag. These arent exactly high precision Lithium Ion batteries here, so it's nice that they just give that as part of the purchase. The controller is fine. It does the job, and has a nice foam lined steering wheel for comfort and grip. The steering was fairly bad out of the box so we are a little over 1/2 of the way trimmed left. That's not awesome but the controller trim works as expected. For $115 you get this car, the controller, batteries and the battery bag, and it's loads of fun honestly. I'll probably go grab another set of batteries just to have it. ... show more

This rc rocks. Very fast. Controls are excellent. Plastic body that comes with it ,throw in the trash. Took me more time to fit my Toyota body than I expected. This in not 1/10 scale. 1 inch shorter than expected. Running without a bumper and you will break front suspension. It's that fast. Totally Impressed for the money. ... show more
